LESSON DESCRIPTION

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a video and do a listening exercise about a pilot who actually flies an airplane through a hurricane. It includes discussion questions and conversation activities about natural disasters and hurricanes. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. The post-viewing section includes activities on a phrase from the video, vocabulary context usage, verbs, and correct forms of the verb “to fly” sentences. The grammar activity features an exercise on the usage of get + [adjective] to express change. There are additional speaking tasks included, as well as a quiz and review section with a bonus activity.
