LESSON OVERVIEW

This reading worksheet looks into the issue of the positive impact of social media on the environment and focuses on reading skills. Students will learn vocabulary as well as answer reading comprehension questions.

READING

The worksheet starts with two questions to discuss with students. Then, they move to an exercise on vocabulary which will appear in an article they will read. They need to match words to their meanings (e.g. corporate, call sb out, multitude). After that, they need to read the text, infer the meaning of the words from the context and check their answers from the previous exercise.

Next, there is one comprehension activity in which students answer questions connected with the text. After that, students have one more chance to practise new vocabulary by completing sentenced with the words from the text.

Finally, students discuss the ideas included in the text and share their opinions.
