LESSON OVERVIEW
This worksheet focuses on two goals: extending crime vocabulary and practising writing. It can also serve as a good supplement to advanced crime lesson plans.
VOCABULARY
First, students get a page full of fake news headlines and they need to need to identify various types of crimes described there. Next, they have to match them to their definitions.
WRITING
Then, the last task includes practising writing. Students have to turn one of the fake news headlines from the previous exercise into a short news post. There’s a small twist here as they need to include at least 4 words from a predefined list. It means that they have to be a bit creative to fit them in and still write something coherent.
