In this lesson students discuss the ideas from the article they read at home and do a vocabulary activity.

ACTIVITIES
First, students talk about different age groups: infant, toddler, school-aged and teenager. They discuss what difficulties each of the age groups poses for parents and which group is the easiest to teach. Then, students do a vocabulary activity in which they need to come up with suitable words for each gap to create collocations related to the article they read at home (e.g. turn to bribery, meet expectations, explore emotions). Finally, students talk about the tips from the article, they discuss whether advice on raising children should depend on the times we live in. They also brainstorm possible reactions to a child’s challenging behaviour.
