LESSON DESCRIPTION
In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch and listen to a short video guide on hiking gear and essentials, and what to bring on a hiking trip. It includes discussion, conversation, and vocabulary activities about hiking and hiking gear. Students then do some listening/viewing comprehension activities based on the video. The viewing follow-up includes some additional discussion, an activity on a quote from the video using “get + [adjective]” to express a change in state, and a follow-up activity using “get + [adjective]”. There is an additional Hiking Plan & Gear Shopping task, as well as a quiz & review and lesson reflection included.
