LESSON DESCRIPTION
In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a video and do a listening exercise on a scene from the TV series, ‘Friends’, when Ross breaks up with his girlfriend, Elizabeth. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and other activities about relationships and dating. Students learn some important vocabulary words, phrases, and expressions from the video. The grammar activity features the usage of a special conditional form, in addition to the present perfect simple using “never” and “ever”. There is a pronunciation exercise as well for students to practice intonation. A quiz and review with a bonus activity is included.
