LESSON OVERVIEW
In this lesson, students discuss the article they read at home about adaptability as a must-have trait. They work with some vocabulary and discuss other traits necessary for business.

ACTIVITIES
The lesson starts with a warm-up in which students think of three traits for people in different positions and professions (e.g. president/mayor, pharmacist, children’s books writer). Then, students create collocations (e.g. indispensable employee, vantage point, inherent capability, etc.) by matching the words. They practise the collocations and complete the statements with their ideas. Then, students compare their answers with a partner and agree or disagree with each other’s statements.
Next, students discuss some questions about adaptability as a must-have trait. They talk about enhancing adaptability and assessing it during job interviews. Finally, students answer questions about other personality traits (e.g.attention to detail, financial acumen, perseverance, resilience, etc.) and later on they discuss their line of work and talk about other positions and professions.
