LESSON OVERVIEW
In this lesson students talk about how acts of kindness are perceived nowadays, practise some useful phrases used in the article they read at home, and discuss how kind they would be in different situations.

ACTIVITIES
The lesson starts with a warm-up activity. Students get three definitions of the word kindness and they have to choose the one that they like best. Then, they match six question halves and create useful phrases, like summon up the courage, come across the wrong way or carry out an act. After that, they discuss the questions which all have to do with kindness and other issues raised in the article they read at home. Finally, students get seven situations,e.g. your neighbours struggling to do something, somebody cutting in front of you in a queue. Their task is to analyse them and decide how they would react and what factors might influence their reaction.
