In this lesson, intermediate students discuss food waste, share some tips on how not to waste food and learn some useful vocabulary.

ACTIVITIES
The lesson starts with a discussion about the reasons behind food waste and the seriousness of the problem. After that, students complete sentences about eating and cooking habits with provided words (e.g. avoid, stick, stock). Then, they decide whether the statements contribute to reducing food waste or to increasing it (e.g. I freeze some food to extend its use-by date.). Finally, students talk about their eating and cooking habits, and share their thoughts about the tips from the article they read at home.
