LESSON DESCRIPTION

In this communicative-approach ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a short educational video about mastering the art of conversation by playing “the conversation game”. It includes discussion questions and other speaking activities about conversation, communication skills, and follow-up questions. In the lesson, students play the conversation game as described in the video. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. The post-viewing sections are communication-focused and based on building students’ conversation skills. There are additional speaking tasks included, as well as a quiz and review section.
