LESSON DESCRIPTION

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a short documentary and do a listening exercise on different styles of coffee around the world. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and other activities about coffee. Students learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. The post-viewing section has CCQ discussion activities based on vocabulary featured in the video as well as a vocabulary context usage activity. The grammar activity features the usage of the present infinitive. There is a coffee style presentation activity and additional speaking topics included, as well as a quiz and review section.

Experience a variety of coffee cultures and see how it is made and served differently around the world. In Turkey, coffee is brewed in hot sand. In Sweden and Finland, cheese curds are added into cups of coffee.
